These are some recent examples of our work in social services.

Hartford's Options for Tomorrow (HOT) - Strategic Planning, Special Reports - HOT is a coalition of Hartford, Connecticut social service agencies seeking new revenue streams in the wake of reduced government funding. HWF conducted primary and secondary research into innovative revenue enhancement strategies and led a diverse work group through an intensive strategic planning process. HWF then drafted a final report including recommendations and a detailed action plan.

Project M.O.R.E. - Strategic Planning, Planning Support/Management Support, Fund Development - Project M.O.R.E. promotes alternatives to incarceration through its efforts to facilitate prisoner re-entry, counseling and education. HWF supported Project M.O.R.E. strategic initiatives via organizational assessment, proposal development, and program planning.

Solar Youth - Strategic Planning, Fund Development & Evaluation - Solar Youth is a New Haven-based non-profit that provides opportunities and supports for inner-city youth to develop into healthy, positive citizens through programs that focus on the environment. HWF designed and conducted evaluations of Solar Youth’s Neighborhood Steward Teams Program. For each evaluation, HWF compiled and analyzed the data and reported findings in an easily understandable report. HWF has also prepared several successful funding applications for Solar Youth and assisted with strategic planning efforts.
